A

    Automotive aftermarket sector

    The industry responsible for repair/inspection of cars after car purchase and distribution of auto repair parts, used car sales, exportation/scrap of cars, etc.

    Basic earnings per share

    Profit attributable to owners of parent company ÷ average number of shares outstanding during the period

    Big Data

    Refers to a huge amount of data accumulated in the database, which includes historical data in the case of business software. Historical data refers to accumulated data entered by the end user.

    BL code

    The Company's original parts search code used to identify auto parts information (part number/price).

    Block chain

    Technology for decentralized management of transaction record of encrypted data.

    Broadleaf Cloud Platform

    A collection of modules for providing environment, such as IT platform and SDK/API as services including cloud version software ".c series".

    Business software

    Refers to software by industries and work analysis software, which may include basic software such as OS and equipment such as PC.
    The current software is client-server type ".NS series", and the cloud version software is web type ".c series".

    Capital investment

    Investment for acquisition and maintenance of facilities (buildings, software, etc.) necessary for business activities

    Client-server type

    The type of system in which dedicated software is installed on a PC and information processing results and data are exchanged with a specified server.

    Comprehensive income attributable to owners of parent company

    Profit obtained by adding profit attributable to non-controlling interest and other comprehensive profit to profit attributable to owners of parent company.

    Core system

    System that plays essential roles in business processes which directly relates to the core of management and business, which is composed of software and hardware.

    Data Exchanger

    It is our coined word which refers to the existence that collects, analyzes, forecasts, and integrates data on Broadleaf Cloud Platform to provide value to customers and society.

    Dedicated database/master data

    Refers to master information (parts number, price, index, etc.) used with input information when processing information by business software.

    Depreciation and amortization expenses

    Expenses corresponding to depreciation according to the years of use of fixed assets.
    Due to the Company’s business characteristics, the main assets which are subject to amortization are intangible assets from software development.

    Devices

    Include hardware such as PCs, tablets, printers, POS registers, and office supplies such as LED lights.

    Digital Transformation (DX)

    Refers to companies using IT technology to reform their working styles and business operations into efficient ways.

    Diluted earnings per share

    Profit attributable to owners of parent company ÷ average number of shares outstanding including potential shares during the period

    EDI

    Refers to "Electronic Data Interchange," which is used for electronic exchanges such as E-commerce and bill exchanges.

    End user

    Refers to the operator of the operation terminal on which the client PC or Web browser works when using business software.

    Equity attributable to owners of parent company

    Amount obtained by subtracting non-controlling interest from total equity.

    Equity attributable to owners of parent per share

    Equity attributable to owners of parent company ÷ number of shares outstanding

    IT service

    A general term for products and services provided by the Company, such as business software, provision of accompanying database, and auto parts trading network.

    Lease contract

    A finance lease agreement with a leasing company for monthly installment payments when purchasing IT services including software.

    MaaS

    Abbreviation for "Mobility as a Service," which is a next-generation transportation system that uses IT to create an integrated service from a variety of transportation methods, such as sharing service, bus, taxi, etc.

    Monthly subscription

    Contract form for using services with a flat-rate monthly fee.

O

    Operating profit

    Profit obtained by subtracting purchases and other expenses related to business activities from revenue.

    Ordering platform

    The function of business software, including an EC network for buying and selling recycled parts mainly between auto recycle shops and auto parts dealers, and an EDI network, which is a parts ordering system between auto maintenance shops and auto parts dealers.
    (Synonymous with electronic trading platform.)

    Price-earnings ratio (PER)

    Stock price ÷ basic earnings per share

    Price to per-share assets attributable to owners of the parent company ratio (PBR)

    Out of profit obtained by subtracting income taxes etc. from profit before tax, profit that is attributable to owners of parent company

    Profit before tax

    Profit obtained by adding income and expenses generated by non-business activities to operating profit.

    Research and development expenses

    Expenses for development of new products or services and related researches

    Return on assets (ROA)

    Profit before tax ÷ average total assets during the period

    Return on equity attributable to owners of the parent company

    Profit attributable to owners of parent company ÷ average equity attributable to owners of parent company during the period

    Revenue

    Amount obtained by subtracting costs of product trade-ins and sales discounts from the income from business activities such as sales of products and goods and provision of services.

    SaaS

    Abbreviation for “Software as a Service,” which refers to services in which software is provided via the Internet .

    Server

    Computers and software that respond to data and information processing results to other hardware such as client PCs.

    Software usage right

    The right of the software purchaser to use the business software during the contract period (up to 6 years) based on the license agreement.

    Support Service

    Refers to inquiry response on business software and maintenance service for equipment, etc.

T

    Third parties

    Business operators that provide users with unique services by using IT services and software of other companies.

    Total assets

    Total amount of assets stated in the balance sheet, which is equal to total liabilities and equity.

W

    Web type

    The type of system where information processing results and data on the server are operated and used with a Web browser.

    Work point information

    Index information that auto maintenance shops and auto body shops use to calculate wages when repairing or inspecting a vehicle.
