Clients

Broadleaf Group provides advanced IT services to approximately 37,000 clients.

In Japan, main clients are from automotive aftermarket sector, engaged in inspection, maintenance, repair, painting, scrap, and recycle of vehicles, as well as wholesale of auto parts. In addition, the Company also provides services to a wide range of clients, including mobile phone shops, travel agencies, bus operators, and machine tool dealers. The Group’s services have been used by clients for many years as a core business system indispensable for continuing and developing their businesses.

Overseas, in more than 20 countries, a diverse range of clients, mainly from manufacturing industries but also from service industries, retail industries, educational institutions, and medical facilities, are using the Group’s services as a tool to improve operational efficiency.

Products and Services

Business software for automotive aftermarket sector enables unitary management of car owner and vehicle information and is highly evaluated by clients who conduct multiple businesses (e.g. combination of auto maintenance shop and auto body shop).
In terms of functions, the software provides not only general functions including customer management and preparation of estimate sheets, but also various functions such as business process management, record management, and sales analysis. These abundant functions meet the needs of a wide range of clients, from small scale to large scale.

Main function of software for each industry are the following: contract management for mobile phone shops, schedule management for travel agencies, operation management for bus operators, and trading management for machine tool dealers.

As an extended function of business software for the automotive aftermarket sector, we provide ordering platform for buying and selling ordering of auto parts. We have an EC network for buying and selling recycled parts mainly between recycle shops and auto parts dealers, and an EDI network for checking price and delivery date as well as order placement between auto maintenance shops and auto parts dealers.
We are the only IT service company that offers these two networks together.

The dedicated database (master data) used in business software not only contains overwhelming amount of data accumulated over many years, but also is systematically organized for easy use in practice.
For the automotive aftermarket sector, it covers information necessary for business management, such as various vehicle types information, information on auto part number and its price, and work points information on inspection and maintenance.
For mobile phone shops, it covers information on models and accessories as well as basic charge plan information for each mobile phone carrier.
These master data required in each business software are updated and provided on a daily basis.


Revenue Model

The Group provides our clients with comprehensive IT services centered on in-house developed business software and dedicated database through business offices located nationwide.

Clients pay for each service, and sales are recognized differently depending on the type of service. Majority of the sales of software (multi-year usage rights) and devices are recognized as lump-sum sales at the time of sale, but some of the software sales are shifting to monthly subscription. Dedicated database and client support services have already been converted to monthly subscription. Also, ordering platform is charged on a measured-rate basis.

As mentioned above, the Group’s sales composition of is a hybrid of lump-sum and monthly subscription sales. Revenue gained from lump-sum sales are stable due to periodic renewal upon the expiration of the usage period, not to mention revenue gained from monthly subscription sales.
