Creation of the Ethics and Compliance Handbook
We prepared the Ethics and Compliance Handbook to help every employee to understand that all business activities for generating profits are predicated on compliance, in other words, observance of the laws and rules and ethical acts. The Handbook specifies the rules to be observed as a company and serves as a guide when conducting daily operations.
We have a whistle-blowing system established with a view to rapidly resolving and preventing non-compliance cases. Under this system, we set up a compliance contact point and a system that enables whistle-blowers to have direct contact with the partner lawyers. This system ensures that the privacy of the whistle-blowers as well as those who are involved and the confidentiality of the information are strictly maintained, and that the whistle-blowers will not be subject to adverse treatment on the grounds of having reported a non-compliance case. We handle all reports properly and will provide notification of the outcome to whistle-blowers.
About the implementation of compliance education
We positively implement compliance education during the training of new employees and the e-learning education that is held regularly in order to raise awareness of compliance among employees.
About the prevention of insider trading
In order to protect shareholders and investors and to ensure confidence in the securities market, we strive to prevent insider trading by clearly stipulating that employees should not be engaged in the trading of shares based on undisclosed information or provide such information to a third party in the Corporate Code of Conduct.
In addition, we have set up Rules to Prevent Insider Trading and, in order to properly respond to the tightened insider-trading restrictions associated with the revision of the Financial Products Trading Act, we covered the subject in the compliance education (e-learning) in FY2015 and explained the specific case examples, ensuring compliance among all the employees in the domestic group.
